The area is famed for its local cake 'pignolata' that is prepared with balls of sweet dough and fried in olive oil and put together with honey.

The beautiful beaches of the area are within a 5 minute walk from the residence where you can relax in the sun or enjoy various water sports in its pristine waters. If your preference is golf the course at Limbadi is a 10-15 minute drive away.

The airport at Lamezia can be reached by car within a 1-1/4 hour drive from Nicotera Marina.
