There are two fiesta days to honour these two saints one is held on the last Sunday in April and the other in August which commemorates the Italians on their return for the holidays and honours the Virgin Maria. This is a wonderful event where music is played in the street and local cuisine is plentiful. On the day of Santilario in August they celebrate a large traditional festival in the square of the village which attracts people from all over Italy where the most popular instrument the organ is played in the village.

Within a 5-10 minute walk you can reach the beautiful beaches of the Ionian Coast where you can relax in the sun or enjoy various water sports in its pristine waters. If your preference is golf, Rosarno golf course is a 40 minute drive from Marina de Santilario.

The airport at Lamezia Terme can be reached by car within a 1 1/4 hour drive from Marina de Santilario.
